The hoverboard fail by Mike Tyson is getting the “Punch-Out” treatment. Earlier this week, the 49-year-old former heavyweight champion posted an Instagram video of himself falling off of a pink hoverboard, and it didn’t take long for the Internet to respond. On Dec. 30, Fox Sports posted video of an edited version of the hoverboard fail featuring Little Mac from the iconic Mike Tyson “Punch-Out” video game. The classic character gives Tyson quite a "punch-out" in the spoof video.

Before he fell off the hoverboard, one of Mike Tyson’s kids said, “Daddy, I don’t want you to fall.” But the boxer lost his balance on the newfangled scooter and fell hard. In the spoof hoverboard video, Little Mac gives Mike Tyson a major “Punch-Out” which sends him falling to the floor.
While Little Mac caused the hoverboard crash in the joke Mike Tyson “Punch-Out” meme, in real life the boxer can’t beat his cartoon video game opponent, either. In a previous interview with TMZ, Tyson revealed he couldn’t even topple Glass Joe, the first boxer in the game. Glass Joe is considered to be the easiest foe in the classic video game. Tyson also admitted that he was a “late bloomer” when it comes to video games, revealing that he didn’t start playing them until 2006. “Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out” was released by Nintendo in 1987.
Twenty years after he made his video game debut, Tyson could still use some training – on video games and hoverboards. In addition to the “Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out” title, the former champ is the star of Playstation’s “Mike Tyson Boxing” and “Mike Tyson’s Heavyweight Boxing” for Xbox and Playstation 2.
