This booking photograph released by the Montgomery County District Attorneys Office shows Bill Cosby, who was arrested and charged Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, in district court in Elkins Park, Pa., with aggravated indecent assault.
Andrea Constand, a former Temple University employee, told police the once-beloved TV father figure drugged and violated her at his home in Cheltenham Township, near Philadelphia, in 2004.
As most fans know, Bill Cosby has been facing a ton of backlash since multiple women have come forward with claims that he's drugged and sexually assaulted them over the years.
Cosby has been accused by dozens of women of sexual misconduct; many of them came forward in the past year.
"The allegations in the Pennsylvania criminal case against Mr. Cosby relate to conduct Mr. Cosby is alleged to have inflicted on Andrea Constand in 2004", Allred said, and "is within the statute of limitations ... for prosecution in Pennsylvania".
The charge was laid just days before the 12-year statute of limitations for bringing charges was set to run out.
Following months and months of alleged victim after alleged victim coming out and accusing Bill Cosby of rape, the comedian was arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Pennsylvania on sexual assault charges.
The lawsuit alleges defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress, saying Cosby and Johnson never spent any time alone in his house, he never drugged her and "her story is a lie".
Case documents from Constand's lawsuit indicate that 13 unidentified women described similar experiences with Cosby.
Vita said, "I think when your idols do bad things, and everyone is capable of doing something bad, that they be taken to task and take responsibility for those things".
Despite her impairments, Constand said she was aware Cosby was groping her and performing sex acts, but she was "paralysed" and unable to stop him. "NBC Nightly News source" Kate Snow, who interviewed most of the women for a special earlier this yr, stated it has-been a "long journey" for Cosby's accusers.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office is still weighing whether to file a case against Cosby stemming from an alleged 2008 sexual assault at the Playboy Mansion.
She was the director of operations for the university's women's basketball team and Cosby was a former athlete at the college.
He said Constand was not upset when she left that night.
In his deposition, Cosby said he gave Constand three half-pills of Benadryl for stress, telling her only that they were her "friends". She said the judge in the case will have to decide whether to allow other accusers to testify or whether that would be too prejudicial.
He then allegedly sexually assaulted her.
